Our Cottages are conveniently situated only ten minutes drive from the main Britannia Bridge, and just a few minutes away from many of the Islands beautiful beaches and attractions. Please look at out "Places to Visit" page for ideas on what to do during your time on Anglesey.

Our lane leads directly to the Menai Straits just 300 metres away. We are just a few minutes walk from the “Anglesey Sea Zoo” with its marine life and “Foel Farm” which offer animal feeding, petting and rides. Why not call and taste the Sea Salt at Halen Mon whilst you're in the area?

The stunning Newborough Beach is just a few minutes drive from Cerrig y Barcud. This family friendly beach offers miles of golden sand, framed to the left by the majestic mountains of Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula. To the right, and cut off at high tide, an enchanted island said to be the home of St Dwynwen, the Welsh Patron Saint of Lovers. What's more, there are toilet and shower facilities on site at the car park.

Newborough Reserve offers miles of forest trails, teeming with wildlife including red squirrels; a truly enchanting way to spend an afternoon, whether you choose to walk, run or cycle on the forest trails

There are many designated circular walks on the Island of Anglesey including “The Anglesey Coastal Path”, which passes by our entrance.

Visit Anglesey and enjoy sandy beaches, countryside, unspoilt villages, centuries of heritage, amazing scenery and incredible views of Snowdonia.

A variety of wildlife can be seen around Cerrig y Barcud. Rabbits and hares can often be seen playing on our lawns as well as in our adjacent field which they share with sheep, and from January onwards, with newborn lambs.

Numerous bird species can be seen feeding, nesting or just visiting Cerrig y Barcud.

Just a short walk down our lane, the Menai Straits are home to a huge variety of sea birds as well as herons who fish in the pools.

We have a small family of goats, who can be fed by our guests. Our goats, ponies and other animals who are introduced on “Our Animals” page.

Despite our idyllic position, we are only one mile from a main road, in easy reach of all local amenities, and only ten minutes drive from the Britannia Bridge.

There is a Spar convenience store in our local village of Brynsiencyn, approximately 1 and a half miles away.

Main shopping, including a large Tesco, Asda and Morissons are available at Bangor, only 15 – 20 minutes away just over the Britannia Bridge.

A little closer, at Llanfairpwll is a Co-op Supermarket and Waitrose is in Menai Bridge.

Why not do your Grocery online before you travel, with Tesco, Asda and Waitrose all offering delivery service to your cottage.

There is a good mobile phone signal in the area and for those who need to keep in touch we have a free Wi-Fi facility throughout our cottages.

Day trips to Dublin by ferry from Holyhead are available.
