In the last year or so, North Wales has become the world's Zip Line capital, and with Zip World Velocity just half an hour from Cerrig y Barcud Cottages, you can guarantee a truly unforgettable experience during your next holiday.

Since opening their first site just over 5 years ago, Zipworld have expanded to include three sites and added high nets, a forest “roller coaster-toboggan, zip safari and much, much more”.

In Spring 2013, Zip World Velocity opened in Bethesda in March 2013.

Zip World Velocity offers “The Nearest Thing to Flying!” and is home to the longest zip line in the Northern Hemisphere and the fastest in the world. This adrenalin fuelled attraction offers visitors a totally unique experience - travelling at speeds in excess of 100mph on what journalist Robert Hardman describes as a "carefully calibrated, 1,600 yards, £600,000 washing line".

As well as being the longest zip line in Europe, it is almost certainly the most dramatic, plunging you head first down a mountain, and then over a cliff edge before sailing across a lake and providing a birds-eye view of the historic Penrhyn quarry, the spectacular North Wales coastline and beyond.

This incredible experience is available to pretty well anyone over 10 years old, with the oldest participant to date being over 90 years of age! Millions watched Ant & Dec take part in the last series of Saturday Night Takeaway.

Just in case you're not sure whether you're brave enough, your trip to Zip World Velocity will begin with the "Little Zipper" which serves as a confidence builder during which you fly at a mere 45mph! After this, you'll take a 4x4 trip through the former slate quarry, and up to the top of the Big Zipper

You'll be provided with helmet and goggles, a fully weatherproof flying suit and all instructions. All you'll need to bring is a little courage!

If you're intrigued by the idea of Anarchy, Bedlam and Chaos, then you'll want to know about the newest member to Zip World. Anarchy, Bedlam and Chaos are names of the THREE zip lines forming the world's largest Zip Zone at Zip World Titan which opened last year at Llechwedd Slate Caverns, near the historic slate mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog.

This also includes the first 4 person zip line in Europe, and the experience is available to participants from the age of just 7 years.

It is not just the excitement of the zip lines that will take your breath away. Zip World Titan is also home to Bounce Below, a unique subterranean experience!

We're not quite sure who came up with the crazy idea of hanging huge bouncy nets within a historic slate cavern, but suffice to say the result isn't like anything you'll have seen anywhere else!

A journey on the old mining train will lead you to the world's first subterranean playground of its type. Lit by a technicolour light display of brilliant colours, you'll find these trampoline-like nets at varying levels and joined by walkways and slides, including a huge 60' slide. Bounce, climb and slide to your heart's content.
